Tell us a little about yourself?
I'm primarily a mountain bike rider & racer, riding and working for Transition Bikes here in Bellingham! I race Enduro, and also have a passion for downhill/freeride mtb, and love pushing myself to ride faster and gnarlier features.
I also love skiing, trail building, riding all kinds of bikes, and most any activity involved in the outdoors with friends. I grew up in Hood River, Oregon, moved to Bellingham in 2015 to attend WWU, and graduated with degrees in Kinesiology & Spanish in spring of 2019.
Where's your favorite place to ride that isn't in Washington, and why?
I love the riding in BC, Canada (Squamish, Pemberton, and Sunshine Coast to name a few.) There are endless amazing trails to ride there, and incredible terrain.
What's your biggest bike related goal for 2020?
I want to pursue big mountain riding & freeriding more in 2020 with more trips and film projects. I also want to learn to backflip.
How do you like to spend your time off the bike?
Skiing in the winter, digging trails, making bomb meals, hanging with my friends and fam!
Why is massage important to you?
Massage is super important because I know my body takes on a lot of physical stress from consistent strenuous activity, crashes, & traveling. It helps my body prepare and recover from my continuous flow of activities.
What do you do for self-care?
In addition to massage, I spend time in the gym building strength to enhance my performance and help in injury prevention. I foam roll, stretch, & do yoga. I love to cook bomb & healthy meals, especially with friends!
