Ashley Duffus-Jambor has been practicing massage since 2013, cooking professionally since 2010, and nutrition counseling since 2020. She is enthusiastic about helping people feel their best. She's particularly drawn to working with athletes of all levels, but utilizes a holistic approach to maximize positive results. Deep tissue massage, whole food intuitive eating for performance and self-care techniques are the foundations of her practice.
Because of her active lifestyle that she began at a young age, Ashley understands the aches and pains that come with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, as she is an avid mountain biker, skier and general outdoors enthusiast. She thoroughly enjoys helping people find relief from chronic issues, neck and low back pain are two of her specialties, and she particularly enjoys working with athletes, keeping them in fighting shape! She also prefers to utilize a whole food, local/seasonal eating approach that maximizes performance, and is a long time proponent of eating right to feel well. She has experience working with all types of people, from professional athletes to those with postural pain from an office job or chronic migraines. She particularly enjoys working with anyone who wants less pain, as her preferred work is concentrated and detailed, and enjoys helping people find freedom from traditional dieting.
Ashley is extremely personable and enjoys working with people, not just their bodies. She enjoys putting together the puzzle of how pain began in the first place, by asking questions about lifestyle. She thinks that there’s a lot of good that can come from having a working relationship with you... she likes to get to know your body and habits so she can help you better! Her clients call her intuitive, thorough and detail oriented.
Ashley studied Tourism and Outdoor leadership, and worked in the food service industry before becoming a massage therapist, and held many outdoor industry jobs... guiding rafts and rock climbing, teaching kayaking and working in ski resorts. Through numerous injuries and lots of knee pain, she found wellness to be her calling and completed her massage training at Whatcom Community College, and then furthered her career with Nutrition Coaching and Corrective Exercise through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2020. She spent several years working at an athletic club in Bend, Oregon, as well as for spas and chiropractors (two ends of the bodywork spectrum!), and a variety of cafes and catering companies which gives her a great variety of knowledge on the body inside and out.
When Ashley isn’t in her office, you’re very likely to find her on Galbraith Mountain with her border collie, Jasper.
